Board of Directors of Marion Regional Healthcare System Welcomes Herrington
Marion, SC--Marion Regional Healthcare System has announced the addition of Dianne Herrington to its Board of Directors.
Herington, a lifelong resident of Marion County, is a 1982 graduate of Francis Marion College. She is the Human Resources Manager with Johnson Controls in Florence, South Carolina. Well respected for her expertise in the field of HR Management, she held the same position with Sara Lee for more than twenty-three years.
Committed to Marion County and active in civic affairs, she is a member of the Marion Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Marion United Way. She was the 2008 President of the Marion Chamber of Commerce and completed two terms on their Board of Directors. In addition, she has served on the Board of Trustees for Francis Marion University for eight years.
Herrington currently resides in Marion and is the mother of two children, Rob and Sara Brown, both of whom are students at the University of South Carolina.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dianne to our Board,” said Harold (Gene) Tucker, President and CEO of Marion Regional Healthcare System. “Her business acumen and her community mindedness are traits that are important to us,” he said.
Marion Regional Healthcare System is a private, nonprofit organization that operates Marion County Medical Center, Mullins Nursing Center, and the new Aynor Medical Center. In addition, it operates a number of physician practices throughout the area.
