Marion Regional Healthcare System To Host Osteoporosis Screening & Seminar

Marion, SC—Marion Regional Healthcare System will host a Free Osteoporosis Screening & Seminar featuring Peter Spohn, MD Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Wednesday, October 22nd.

The event will be held in Classroom A at Marion County Medical Center, starting at 4:00pm with free bone density screenings, followed at 5:30pm with Dr. Spohn presenting a seminar on Osteoporosis Prevention.

“Osteoporosis affects more than 10 Million Americans,” explained Dr. Spohn.  “It is considered a “silent” condition, because bone loss occurs without symptoms, making awareness for this deadly disease increasingly important. Early detection and treatment can prevent the disabling symptoms of Osteoporosis.”
